Team Profile

The Spalding Cavaliers Basketball program competes in the prestigious Baltimore Catholic League and Maryland Interscholastic Athletic Association ‘A’ Conference. Last year’s team was 23-10, ranked third in the Baltimore Sun, and was the runner-up in both the Baltimore Catholic and MIAA A conference championship games. Returning players are Juniors Kam Carter, TJ Moultrie, Colt Busse, Elijah Barret and Moe Lonergan. Our 6’8 Freshman Braxton Bogard will also make an impact. The Cavaliers are looking to make a run in the BCL and MIAA respectively. We will rely on our junior leadership and experience as the season progresses.

Several Spalding players have gone on to careers in college and the NBA, including Rudy Gay (University of Connecticut and Utah Jazz), Cam Whitmore (Villanova and Houston Rockets), Derrick Snowden (Villanova), and Will Bowers (University of Maryland).

We are excited to participate in such a prestigious tournament as the Gonzaga DC Classic. This should be a great year for the Cavs!!
